Christmas Photos
Whether you're ready or not, Christmas is around the corner. For months, I've driven by the perfect place for family Christmas portraits. It's very Norman Rockwell-esque, in my opinion. I called back in late August and they gave me permission to shoot there. Yay! Where is this mystery place, you might be asking? Drumroll, please........the Christmas Tree Farm off Mustang Road between Mustang and Yukon!
I'm super excited because it's such a great location to do some adorable Christmas photos. There are rows and rows of Christmas trees, old machinery and barns, and a long, gravel drive made just for shots of your family walking hand in hand--well, maybe it was really made to be a driveway, but whatever.
The details? The shoot is Saturday, Nov. 5 with available times listed below.
- 8 a.m.
- 8:45 a.m.
- 9:30 a.m.
- 10:15 a.m.
- 11:00 a.m.
- 3:00 p.m. (Robison Family)
- 3:45 p.m. (Wilson Family)
- 4:30 p.m. (Bilderback Family)
- 5:15 p.m. (Nelson Family)
For $55, your family will receive a 30-40 minute session, with 7-10 edited images on CD. Images will be ready by Thanksgiving, so you can use them on Christmas cards or as family gifts. Session fee covers up to 5 people. For groups larger, contact me at lacydmyers@gmail.com for additional information.
In addition, custom Christmas cards will be available for purchase. Design 1 is previewed below. Keep a close eye on my Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/lacymyersphotography) to learn how you could win free Christmas cards after booking a session with me.
Contact me at lacydmyers@gmail.com for any additional details or questions. Let the holiday season begin!

Elijah
I recently had the pleasure of taking this sweet little guy's two year photos. Two-year olds can be tough to shoot, but this bundle of energy was so warm and sweet! Don't you just love him with his big boy backpack?
And, those big blue eyes?
And, he'll be a big brother soon, so we snuck in a few belly shots.
Thank you H family for allowing me to capture these precious images!

August Schedule
Wow, I can't believe it's almost August! Time flies when you're having fun, or so they say. This summer has been great. I've enjoyed shooting <in the photography sense> many adorable kids and awesome families. It's truly a joy to meet so many wonderful people and do something I immensely enjoy.
Below is my August schedule, and from what I have pending, it looks like it will be a busy one. What do you need pictures of this month? A recent engagement? Family pictures before the kids head back to school? A special milestone? Family pics in your Sooner or Cowboy gear to kick-off football season? Whatever your reason, email me to be added to the schedule. If none of these dates work, let me know and we can try to locate another date that better fits your schedule. I try to stick with these dates, however, because they are husband-approved.
Saturday, Aug. 6 - early morning or late evening is available
Saturday, Aug. 13 -
Friday, Aug. 19 - evening
Saturday, Aug. 27 - early morning or late evening is available

Photo Challenge: Children
I'm new to the world of photo challenges and they are so fun! So many talented photographers. So many amazing shots. So much inspiration.
This week, I'm linking up with Little Somethings for the first time and the theme is children. Perfect for me, since I have a sweet child living in my home--and drinking all my milk!
Here's my submission. There are things I would do differently about this shot if I could, but overall, I love the moment I captured of my little girl enjoying watermelon on the 4th of July!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
This is my first time linking up with Ramblings and Photos' Scavenger Hunt Sundays and I had so much fun. Here are my images for the week.
1. Things that look like a letter of the alphabet I loved this item! I saw several things around my house and then BAM...I looked up during a photo shoot and saw this perfect V. |
3. Bling These are shower curtain hangers; I used them for years because I loved the look, but they were not practical. |
4. Tangled The ivy on my front porch is ALWAYS tangled! |

I Clicked It Up a Notch--June Contest
My submission for June's contest (http://www.clickitupanotch.com/) is probably a little unorthodox, but I love this picture because it embodies the stage my daughter is in right now. She wants to do everything by herself.
She wants to feed herself, brush her own teeth and earlier today she was determined to climb in this chair all by herself. Miss Independent, let me tell ya! Notice one shoe is on and the other is off. Such a funny girl!

Korbin & Kinsley
This brother and sister duo were simply adorable and so much fun to shoot. This session had been on the books for several weeks, so I was excited when the day finally came.
Sarah, you have a beautiful family. Thanks for letting me capture their sibling love and sweet expressions. I hope you cherish these!

July Portrait Schedule
It's summer. School's out, it's light 'til 9 and you know you could bribe your kids with a trip to the pool or ice cream. So what are you waiting for? Book your photo session during the month of July. It's more fun than listening to the kids say, "I'm bored" for the 122nd time.
Here are the Saturdays I'm available as you work your magic in front of the camera. Just kidding; I prefer to take shots while you are being natural. You won't hear me shout, "Give me tiger!" Unless, of course, that's you acting naturally!
- Saturday, July 2
- Saturday, July 9 <pending one appointment, but I can take two>
- Saturday, July 30
I'm also available some during the week; contact me through Facebook to schedule another date.
Keep in mind that early morning and late evening is when the light is magical, which means better photos.
Hope to see you in July, and special thanks to all my June clients! I appreciate your business!
